How accurate is Styku's 3D Body Scanner?
Measuring fat is next to impossible, unless you're willing to do a CT scan or worse yet, an autopsy. We don't recommend either! It is all about the algorithms. Studies now show that bio-impedance, calipers, and dunk tanks are no longer medically valid ways to predict fat. Their algorithms are either antiquated or not repeatable. Styku is the first body scanning company in the world to leverage AI to build a highly accurate and repeatable model. Backed by an NIH-funded study.
A study led by the Pennington Biomedical Research Center at LSU found excellent correlations to both, while also showing Styku outperformed competitive systems in all areas. Styku outperformed both Fit3D's ProScanner and TC2's KX-16 in correlation strengths.
In 35 seconds, the world’s most powerful 3D camera will capture millions of measurements that are extracted with 2mm accuracy. With its razor sharp high resolution infrared images, the scans technology will reconstruct your body in 3D and capture millions of data points in a fast and non-invasive process. It is not uncommon for the scale to not move much the first few weeks. This can be very frustrating when you measure your success according to pounds lost. However, most of our clients see a significant decrease in body fat and a significant loss of inches that can be measured with the 3D body scan.
How does the scanner work?
First and foremost, we understand that a body scan can sometimes be very overwhelming. With that in mind, we have placed the Styku scanner in a private room to make the experience as comfortable as possible.
You will want to wear tight clothing as shown in the photo and remove all jewelry. Long hair will need to be secured and off the shoulders. Your certified Styku instructor will show you where to stand on the tower and will assist you in proper body placement for best results. Once your placement is correct, you will stand in position while the tower rotates 360 degrees the next 35-40 seconds. Once the scan is complete, your instructor will let you know when all the data has been captured and you can step off the tower.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY RESULTS
Your results are emailed directly to you by Styku in a pdf format. Typically, you should receive your report within 5-15 minutes of the scan.
