Self-Care program

Self-care is not defined by what you do but rather the intentional ways in which you care for each dimension of your life.  

You are engaged in authentic self-care when you feed your body nutritious food, manage your mind with healthy thoughts, are guided by an internal set of morals and values, maintain boundaries that keep you emotionally stable, choose safe living over risky behavior, pursue a life of meaning, invest in healthy relationships, and when you are financially secure.   

According to The World Health Organization, “Wellness is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”   Wellness  is the conscious development of the whole person.  As each person is different, so are the ways in which each person will cultivate themselves on their path to wellness. 

Destiny Wellness Center does not provide a “one-size-fits-all” approach to wellness.  Rather, based upon your wellness evaluation a customized roadmap that offers many “tools” for healing that will address your emotional, physical, social, environmental, financial, occupational, spiritual, and mental well-being. 

Irrespective of a person’s age, size, shape or perceived attractiveness, it is wellness that is the cornerstone of quality of life. It determines how we ultimately look, feel, interact with others and thrive in life and work.

Your wellness journey involves a long process of change and growth.  And we are here to support and guide you each step of the way.

The wellness evaluation assesses the following WELLNESS components:

  • Physical

  • Emotional

  • Mental

  • Spiritual

  • Financial

  • Environmental

  • Occupational

  • Relational

In addition, Your evaluation will screen for:

  • Burnout

  • Compassion Fatigue

  • Grief/Loss

  • Stress

  • Vicarious Trauma.


personalized self-care plan $99

You and your wellness counselor will work together to develop your customized self-care program. You plan is thoughtful, based upon your needs. Your plan is intentional, providing you with detailed goals and objectives. Your plan is educational. You will learn the life skills you need to support your overall general wellbeing.

You self-care plan will:

  • Be evidence based. Each dimension of wellbeing will be supported by practices that are backed up by scientific studies and research.

  • Be measurable. Each dimension of wellbeing will be supported by specific, observable, attainable, realistic, time bound) activities that will measure outcomes of success.
