Support groups are not intended to replace individual therapy. To ensure each participant is prepared for a group setting, we require an initial screening for services. Most of our support groups are open-ended which provides you with the flexibility to join when you are ready!

The weight management support group provides the educational, mental, physical, and emotional support you need to restore your body back to its natural state of wellness. The support group is facilitated by our nutritional counselor and will address weight issues such as:
Stress-weight connection
Meal prepping and meal planning
Medications that make it more difficult to lose weight
The importance of the microbiome
The gut brain connection and so much more!

New group begins March 6, 2023.
This support group is led by Marsha Johnson, founder of Destiny Wellness Center. The group provides a safe, evidence-based environment for you to take effective and lasting steps towards recovery, no matter the type of loss experienced. The topics in the grief, trauma and support group will explore but are not limited to the following:
Stress that accompanies loss
Effective coping strategies
The different aspects of grief
The importance of mourning
Soul searching and complicated grief
Explore methods of self-care

This is an ongoing group that provides behavior change and supports evidenced-based recovery strategies. The benefits of the addiction support group includes:
Meeting new people
Learning skills to conquer cravings
Getting support during difficult emotional times
Having people to hold you accountable
Knowing you’re not alone
You will discover a constructive and encouraging group to support your recovery program.

Do you find yourself doing too much for others? Or putting your needs on hold? The purpose of this group is to discuss the establishment of boundaries within our lives and why they are important. Learn how to say, "No" and when to say, "Yes."
Through presentations, activities and group discussions you will:
Describe ways boundaries can be beneficial
Understand, define and evaluate different types of boundaries
Identify methods to enhance or create boundaries
Identify ways of respecting other’s boundaries
Explore how you can begin to set or strengthen your boundaries

Anxiety, stress, and depression is increasing and there are trends and forces at work that contribute to feelings of fear and depression. This ongoing support group will provide assessments and exercises to help you learn effective skills for coping with anxiety, managing stress, and depression. Group topics include but are not limited to:
Anxiety triggers
Emotions connected to fears
Emotional regulation skills
Coping strategies
How to reduce and/or eliminate stressors
